Maitsev Sushi is a Japanese restaurant in Tallinn with a full kitchen and a sushi bar. It needed a website that looks as good as the dishes and lets guests order food and drinks online in a few clicks.
In four weeks we designed and built the site from scratch: a looping video and an animated loading screen on the home page, parallax and smooth scroll animations throughout, the full menu by category and a drinks section with more than 7,000 bottles. The site runs on our shared platform, so the restaurant shares one admin, one order list and one drinks catalogue with other stores, while keeping its own prices. Everything is in Estonian, Russian and English.

02The project
The site opens with an animated loading screen and a full-screen video, and as you scroll, sections glide in with a parallax effect. The animations are built with GSAP and never get in the way: the menu and the basket are always a tap away. We designed it from scratch around Japanese cuisine and the restaurant's character.
Small plates, main dishes and the sushi bar with nigiri, sashimi and rolls each have a page of their own. Any dish goes straight into the basket, and the team updates the menu themselves, no developer needed.
The drinks section is connected to a catalogue shared with other stores: wine, sparkling wine, spirits and soft drinks, more than 7,000 in total. The catalogue is shared and the restaurant sets its own prices, so the drinks list stays up to date without any extra work.
Food and drinks go into one basket, and payment runs through Montonio by bank link. If there's food in the order, the checkout switches to pickup at the restaurant straight away. The guest gets a confirmation and an invoice by email, and the team gets an alert in Telegram.
The restaurant manages its menu, prices and orders in the same admin as other stores. The built-in analytics are there too: revenue, best-selling dishes and drinks, orders by hour and day of the week.
